Maker’s Match brings together contemporary jewelry artists for a compelling exhibition where each selected artist creates three solo earrings, to be 'matched' with another artist's earring. This interactive experience challenges our assumptions about matching, completion, and connection. In a time when genuine interaction, community, and connection feel increasingly elusive, this exhibition invites us to engage, interact, and explore relationships. Makers Match invites artists and viewers to discover what emerges when we allow ourselves to be surprised by one another.
Selected artists will each create three solo earrings: singular, unique works of art crafted in silver. Curators/Jurors, Missy Graff Ballone and Katie Morrissey, will be pairing your work with a work by another participating artist, creating three matched sets for the exhibition.
Silver is the shared material and connective thread, while each artist’s individual approach, process, and vision remains their own. Artists will not know whose work they are paired with until opening night, when every pairing is revealed simultaneously.
We invite artists working in silver to apply with wearable earrings.
